Pulled my 71 out of the weeds today
I have decided to take a break from my 87 for a bit and get my 71 driveable again. I pulled it out of the weeds and to the top of the yard, then pulled off the front clip. I am getting ready to install a 454 with a 5 speed in it. I am also installing an ECE 4/6 drop kit. More pics to follow.

Push it back in the weeds and cover it with a tarp fast ... We all know what happens when you turn that first wrench ,It starts the never ending search for just the right parts ,And has been rumoured to cause divorce .

They still cause enough problems with a significant other even if your not married.

Thankfully my wife is 100 percent behind this. She has been pushing me to do this for a year now

Re: Pulled my 71 out of the weeds today
So it's a '71 with a '68 doghouse? C/10 or /20? Does it have front disc brakes already?
What tranny do you have for it?

Re: Pulled my 71 out of the weeds today
Yes it is a 71. It does have a 68 cab and front end on it due to catching on fire in 2007. That is all on my build thread, or used to be. It does have 5 lug disk brakes and I am using a world class T5 behind it.
Thanks

Re: Pulled my 71 out of the weeds today
Sounds like a cool build. Howdy from Kirtland. My wife graduated from Aztec.

Re: Pulled my 71 out of the weeds today
I actually graduated from Farmington but I lived in Aztec until my freshman year. Glad to hear from a neighbor
