Questions about tailgate trim pieces
So I've got my hands on some original tailgate trim, very good condition as well. But the piece that goes just above the tailgate handle/latch is missing the clip that slips over the stud.
Does anywhere have this clip for me to purchase? I don't want to buy a new piece, this old piece is very nice. Also. My tailgate has the holes for the upper trim, does that meant it should have the holes for the lower trim as well? I'm looking for them but they maybe covered with bondo, but before I start searching I am curious if having upper trim always means that the lower trim is a given. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Questions about tailgate trim pieces
No, a lot of trucks just have upper trim. There was no lower trim in 67-68, and lots of 69-72's have upper trim, but no lower trim on the gate.
As far as those clips, I'd think they were available, but if not, I'm sure someone here on the parts would have them used.

Re: Questions about tailgate trim pieces
You can get them at NAPA, they're called Barrel Clips. Just take your trim piece in to make sure you get the right size
