WTB: misc 250 I6 parts
While doing some underhood work today we found a few little things that were previously broken and poorly repaired, or, missing from our truck. To the extent it matters, ours is a 77:
* the plug that goes from the engine harness onto the top of the ignition coil on the side of the block, one of the side clips on ours was broken off * "250" emblem for grille * hot air stove steel pipe from manifold to air cleaner * carb top threaded stud * may need some emissions/breather pieces based on a picture of the factory stock setup... There's some plugged lines and chrome push in items on the truck that need to be replaced with.... something? |

I've never seen a 250 emblem in the grill. Most people don't want to brag they have the base motor.
Do you have the mainfold 'stove' and jsut need the riser pipe? Carb studs seem to go missing a lot. Best bet is a junkyard, get the whole ounting plate and stud.

I have never seen a 250 emblem either. A 77 wouldn't have had an engine designation emblem anyway as 76 was the last year(diesel being an exception)

As far as the stove, yes, it's there, just need the hard steel pipe (not a cheap parts store flex pipe) Have a carb stud on there from the old carb, the nos didn't come with one. but it's correct for the taller air cleaner type with a spacer. I'd rather not cut this one. Good to know. I have a pile of perfect grilles with those pesky "350" emblems in them, want to put something else in there before installing. May require adapting a camaro, nova, or earlier emblem... |
