odd things in my 74

Ive had about a dozen of these trucks over the years and today I was stumped when I saw these things in a 74 I just picked up as a parts truck First off was this standard on a 74 GMC camper deluxe the half rear sail panel trim pieces and my truck is a dual tank truck is this a dealer installed switchover part?

Re: odd things in my 74

That's an original factory manual 73/74 AUX tank valve setup. Fairly rare cool oddity now. Not worth much but cool.

74 Cheyenne?

That's factory. Those came on the 454 equipped trucks only. My buddy's dad has a 73 Cheyenne Super that's setup exactly like that...

Missed the GMC... Sierra Grande was the top trim level for GMC in 73 & 74. Cheyenne Super was the top trim Chevy in 73 & 74.

Re: odd things in my 74

Yep, original mechanical dual tank switching valve was push pull. My 74 GMC Sierra Grande was also equipped this way.

Re: odd things in my 74

I have a few of the manual tank switching valves. Pretty cool option. The half interior headliner retaining pieces were standard up to 75 maybe 76 on headliner trucks.75 had shoulder belt holes
