1972 K10/K20 SUBURBAN Lift questions
I'm throwing a set of 3/4 ton's under my K10 as well as a 6 inch Skyjacker lift
1: Will i need to do any drive-line modifications? I've heard that anything over a 4 inch lift will need some, but considering I'm putting a Dana 60 which has a longer housing and yoke(roughly 2 inches) longer than the GM 12 bolt i might be in the clear. I'm also getting the runaround from vendors and skyjacker itself as far as kits go. I plan on using the C260AKSS kit, but no one can give me a solid answer as far as what I can or can't pick out , I already have a Steering arm, I want to purchase different shocks, skyjacker tells me i cant get the kit without shocks, vendors just say they sell the leaf kit and nothing else, no extended brake lines or shocks..... anybody have any luck purchasing a kit/ piecing together a kit that is budget friendly? say around $1000 give or take? Thanks fellas. |

Love my 2.5 inch EZ rides on my burb. You will need both driveshafts, dont cheap out.
Here is a 6 in all spring kit under your budget, no shocks, no brake hose. http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/index....oducts_id=2344 The cheap trick for front extended brake hose is to use 72 2wd as it is a few inches longer. Last edited by RedRoad; 04-07-2018 at 02:51 AM. |
