Home built 383 Dyno pull
Just got back from the dyno this morning. Pretty pleased with the results. First off, nothing broke. That’s a relief.
My son and I built this engine for his senior project last fall. It was a great chance to spend some good quality time with him. It has aluminum heads and is balanced and blueprinted. We put a Fitech fuel injection on it along with a Boyd’s tank and internal fuel pump. After 5-6 pulls and some tweaking of the AFR, 425 ft lbs of torque, 320 hp. At the rear wheel. Here is a pic of the truck. Also my son with the new engine. |

Awesome!, you have a build sheet you can share? What kind of compression? Heads?

Re: Home built 383 Dyno pull
Tell your son "great job!" My son built a 383 for his senior project also. (about 6 years ago) would have been nice to dyno it but we didn't. Truck & engine are still running though! (got him through college)
