C10 Nationals?
Hello: I see that there is a "C10 Nationals" event coming up in 3 weeks in Ft. Worth, sponsored by LMC Trucks.
Has anyone on the board gone to one of these before? Is it worth going to? I don't live in TX, so it is not just a day trip for me. Thanks in Advance, Mark Williams |

Re: C10 Nationals?
This is the first time for this event.
There's allot of major truck events in Texas anymore so I'd worry about show fatigue. Otherwise go and be "one of the first!". |

Re: C10 Nationals?
I agree it seems there are plenty enough shows as it is. Any new shows should go where people are aching for one.
I would not attend a GM truck event so limited considering there are C/20s, C/30s, K/5s, K/10, K/20 trucks as well as C/20 Suburbans. Then there are the GMCs. And then there is all the interest in custom Medium Duties these days. I'm turned off by the whole limited C/10 mentality. I'm surprised LMC doesn't know any better since they sell parts for the others as well. But for them it's about the money and promoting their business. They are big enough that they should stay with what they do best...which could use improvement This ain't no C/10 Too far for me anyway, so this thread belongs in upcoming events , regions, or General Discussion since I imagine it's not only limited to 67-72 C/10s.

Re: C10 Nationals?
It is not cheap either at twice the price of Goodguys Fall and Spring national shows for a participant with a truck ( 85 bucks ).
However I don't think it's limited to the half ton. The registration forms do not mention anything other than the year range and that the vehicle must be Chevy/GMC. 1947 through 1998 Chevy/GMC trucks.

There will be several hundred trucks just outside of Nashville, TN on July 14. I've been (as a spectator) the last couple of years. I'm taking my truck this year. It's a pretty good show, and closer to you than Ft. Worth. Hope to see everybody in Hendersonville in July (and at Goodguys in Nashville in May...)!!! |

Re: C10 Nationals?
I'm sure. That would be cutting out a lot of money for them if they made it so limited. So why call it "C10 Nationals" if it's for 100, 150, 250 X, Y, T, & S series, 3100, 3200, 3600, 3800, C15, C20, C25,C30, C35, C1500, C2500, C3500, K5, K10, K15, K20, K25, K30, K35, K1500, K2500, K3500 is my point. I might have left some 47-98s out, too. Also, the 88-98 style (GMT400) ran through 2000 as the classic after '98. And then there are the bigger trucks that are gaining popularity. The name is dumb IMO is all I'm saying. "Sounds" limiting. Very entry level sounding to me. There's already an All GM Nationals, but does every show have to have Nationals in it these days? How about Greatest All GM Show On Earth? Mine will be called All GM Locals...heh heh

Re: C10 Nationals?
3 shows in TX in one year is like 3 shows covering half of the entire east cost.... Not all 3 are in Fort Worth either, some near Houston and Waxahachie.
