looking for 70 CST information

I have a 1970 CST 1/2 ton pick up that I am in the process of restoring and was wondering if the anyone would have information on the color of paint that was applied to various parts of the underside of the truck chassis, such as the frame, A arms, radiator, radiator shroud, inner fender wells, back side of fenders, etc. Also there is a number 944 that is written on the firewall of the truck and I was wondering if that was something that was done during the assembly process?
Any knowledge or information would be appreciated.

Thanks

When dealing with salt mud and tree trash .I feel that your rain gutter or your Cal.They make this thing that keep un wanted trash going where your wiper motor is.That is a big one to keeping your truck from cancering and wash that area out every month.A good under coating would do wonders from any rust happening to the underneath your truck.Seen guys that use the bed liner stuff to coat the bottom side of there trucks is really muddy or salted area's have them do in the wheel wells really good of the bed

Re: looking for 70 CST information

Thanks for the replies. I am more interested in restoring the frame to the original colors when the truck was built from the Atlanta plant in 1970.

thanks

Re: looking for 70 CST information

Your heading is not very specific about what information you are looking for.
That may be the problem , why you aren’t getting much response.
Not sure what the factory did
But it seems everything was black

Most people, powder coat, por 15, or paint black

I guess it just depends how deep you go
