re-installing upper side molding
PO on my 71 did a terrible job installing the upper bedside moulding.I had to take it back off because it was not secured at the front near cab.Do I leave the plastic stick on molding clips on the bedside? And snap the molding back on them and just add a couple new ones?Or do I tear them off clean them up and put double sided tape back on them?Position them back on molding and get the molding where it needs to be and press it on?I hate installing moldings!

Re: re-installing upper side molding
Was the moulding in the proper place to begin with? If so, then leaving the stick-ons in place saves a lot of work.
AND, Did the PO replace the supplied double sided tape with the much better 3M tape.? If not, start removing the stick-ons and buy some 3M tape. I don't think anyone has had lasting luck with the tape that comes with the stick-ons.
