K 10 LS conversion mounts

What is the best conversion mount to install a LS in an 87 4X4?

ebay adapter plates is what I used...uses stock sb clam shell, locates LS in same position as sb.....others have used sliders....what trans are you using?

I have adapter plates made by Tejas Steel works. I could not use them with my 2wd because my clamshells were too short. I painted them black, let me know if you are interested.

7004R OR 4L80, I have both just didnt want to mess with the controller for the 4L80, but now come to think of it with the fly by wire throttle i guess I wont be able to hook up the detent cable on the 700

keep in mind your gonna have to hang a pass side t-case on the back of it...

I like the one my buddy designed for his LS swap. It uses the factory LS truck engine mounts and lets you keep the factory LS truck ac compressor. It does require about 4" of lift for clearance though.
