Window regulator grease ?

I imagine a little grease on the window regulator wouldn't hurt, but what about grease on the rollers and track ? I just don t want the grease to eat up the plastic rollers. What do u think ?

X2. It's what we use in the glass industry.

x3. Used it for the regulators and vent windows on my rust-bucket. Everything smooth as silk.

Guys, the plastic rollers on the window regulators are nylon or polyacetal. They are impervious to any petroleum based grease, or mineral oil based grease for that matter.

Grease away at them, it will not affect the material (34 years in plastics...).

Re: Window regulator grease ?

When I'm serious about it, I remove everything and then clean in kerosene, brush and blow dry. The regulators and latch mechanisms then get soaked in a mix of Vaseline and 30 weight. Sector and tracks receive white lithium. Warning: never use wheel bearing grease else cold temps will make it stiff and difficult to operate regulators. This also damages parts due to the extra force/stress required to actuate in cold temps.
