Spindle nut question

Does anyone know if my stock brake drum spindle nuts will fit McGaughy's disc brake spindles? I got a great deal on the spindles but they did not come with the nuts. I don't have a nut that will thread onto it or a thread gauge. I am not to the point of installing the disc brake system yet, still gathering parts but if I can use the nuts from the drum brake spindles I will do that.

Re: Spindle nut question

I’d imagine if they didn’t supply it then it’s assumed you’ll use the old one. I would imagine they would use the stock style nut and thread type. If it is wrong you’ll know it.

Re: Spindle nut question

I didn't buy the spindles from McGaughy's, I got them second-hand. The thread looks like 3/4-20 I guess I will cross that bridge when I get to it.

Re: Spindle nut question

I ended up using Dorman P/N 05193 nut/washer/cotter pin kits and they worked perfectly. Rock Auto, $4.03 each

Re: Spindle nut question

I’ve used drum brake spindle nuts with ECE drop spindle.
Exact same size and thread pitch.
