Torque Thrust 1-piece 20x10 with a 295 tire

Anybody on here have the 1-piece Torque Thrust in a 20x10 with a 295 tire? Most I'm finding are running a 275. From what I've read the preferred backspacing for this combo is 5.50" but the TTIIs are 5.74". I'm curious if .24" is enough to cause rubbing on the inner fender and look too "sucked" in.

Truck is a '72 with the wider rear end.

I just put that combo on my truck, it rubbed the inner part of the bed. I opted to widen the fender and cut out about 1.5in that rubbed. Not sure how anybody can get that wheel and tire under there and not rub.

You have to compare apples to apples here.
What year truck do you have?
When you say they rub, do you have a 67-72 truck with the wider 71-72 rearend?

I have a 295/40-20 on my 20x9.5 wheel with 5.5" Backspacing.
But this is on my 71 2wd blazer that's bagged.
All the info is need to give an honest comparison.

My truck is a 1969 C10 SWB. Put 4in lowering springs on it and 2in lowering blocks.

You truck probably has the narrower 67-69 rearend.
(3/4” narrower per side)
That’s why it would rub more than the wider 71-72 rearend.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Torque Thrust 1-piece 20x10 with a 295 tire

Thanks for the info Mudflat and clarification Keith.

Finally heard back from American Racing and they state that it should fit, be 1/4" sucked in but of course I should measure everything first. Not a whole lot of help.

With that said I think I'm going to go another direction on the wheels
