Rust Free K/5 Windshield Frame

I have a windshield frame cut down low on the pillars that is in good shape. What are they worth these days?

Yeah, just the hole for the windshield. I should take a picture. I think it's the whole a-pillar.

Re: Rust Free K/5 Windshield Frame

Hi Tim, $350-400 range. The last one I sold went for $500 shipped. Had just over $100 in the packing & shipping. Harlow

Re: Rust Free K/5 Windshield Frame

Thanks. Been a while since I looked at any. I know many are showing up rust there now. I dug it out and now wondering if I'll keep it or sell. It's a hunk to ship for sure.

Re: Rust Free K/5 Windshield Frame

Ok, time to revise this thread. How much would a very clean, but has a couple holes upper/inner frame near center, be worth?

Re: Rust Free K/5 Windshield Frame

$200? Be honest, less? I've been out of K/5s for a while and I know that crowd is picky.

Re: Rust Free K/5 Windshield Frame

Any rust through is tough. I would say $200 is fair since it's mostly solid and some are so far gone. Harlow

Re: Rust Free K/5 Windshield Frame

I would also think in the $200 range. If you had it stripped or blasted it could be worth more, or quite a bit less if more holes pop up.

Re: Rust Free K/5 Windshield Frame

Thanks you all. I was thinking either a bit cheaper as is or strip to honest metal for more or scrap. It used to be rust free .

Re: Rust Free K/5 Windshield Frame

When I was looking for one a few weeks ago a member offered me his for $150 + shipping that would be around $75 or more. it had a couple extra holes but looked solid. Tim, yours is nicer than the one I was offered. so maybe $250-$275 shipped or more. Just a guess.

Re: Rust Free K/5 Windshield Frame

Thanks for that. With it being worth less than a prime piece I may keep holding on to it. I have another idea to use it with, if that ever happens. I'd be happy with a couple hundred, nothing to sneeze at, but we all know what storage time does for this stuff... if you have the free space.
