I have always loved these clearance light trucks, so when the opportunity for me to buy one that is both rust and damage free came up I had to jump!.. I found this 69 GMC 3500 cab and chassis just looking for someone to breath new life into it's parts.

Are You using the four eye front end on your shorty? I’m a sucker for the GMC front end on the K trucks.

Those clearance lights will look great on a shorty 4x4, I'm in the process of the exact same thing on my 71.

I am keeping it a 70 Chevy. It's almost a shame because the front end sheet metal is rust free also. cst204x4, it is original paint. It would actually be easy enough to buff it out. I have my eyeballs on another clearance light cab now too. We will see if I can negotiate a good price on it. It is supposed to be "very little rust" but we will see. I have found some nice trucks, but they are getting far and few between any more... WES
