Egg off throttle body

What's the best and permanent way to plug this?

Re: Egg off throttle body

Rubber caps from auto parts store will dry rot in a few years, simple and cheap. Not sure of any permanent solutions..

Re: Egr off throttle body

That's what I've got on there now. I don't think it will last long.

Re: Egg off throttle body

you can tap it for NPT and screw in a small brass plug

it's the EVAP port by the way, pulls fuel vapor from tank.

Re: Egg off throttle body

It shouldn't actually be plugged, should it? If so the engine won't be able to pull fresh air through the crankcase via the PCV system.

I -thought- it was a metered orifice that flowed at a known rate and as long as you provided it with a supply of fresh filtered air, the ECM took account for it in the tune.

No?

I'm sure that's the case when the pcm is turning the solenoid on. When the solenoid is off.... it's not doing anything besides acting like a plug

The OP is calling it an EGR fitting, and you're thinking PCV. It is neither, its for the evap purge solenoid to hook to for pulling fumes out of the gas tank. Its not needed on a non emmissions friendly swap.

Re: Egg off throttle body

Thanks for the replies on the EVAP. I ended up using a small piece of hydraulic line with a fitting pressed on it and a threaded cap. I think it will last.
