70 Jimmy 2wd conversion

Testing the waters. $4,500.00

Original Jimmy had rusty floors, (corrected), still has a little rot in the floor near the tailgate. Also some rust in the fenders. I do have a chrome front bumper, but it has a tweak in it.

Converted to 2WD with 85 suburban suspension, added dropped spindles and flipped the rear axle.

Has 5 lug all around. Tires are good with less than 2K miles. 3.08 with a positrac. Power steering, power brakes.

Fully rebuilt 350 with 350 horse cam, roller rockers, and an aluminum intake. Hooker Comp Plus shorty headers.

Muncie 4 speed, 85 chevy pickup seat, original rear seat, tilt steering from an S10. I also have an underdash A/C unit that will go with it. I have a new dashpad.

This was running and driving daily until 6 years ago, then only 1-2 times per year since we moved back to Texas.

I will contemplate selling w/o the engine and transmission for $2,500.00

Have all new rubber from Classic Heartbeat for windows and doors along with a bunch of extra parts, including patch panels.

Inside spare tire carrier. Spare has never been on the ground. If I'm in a good mood, I will throw in a set of rally wheels.

I also have all of the paperwork from the original owner including the sales order and protecto plate.

Would you sell the spare tire carrier separately or do you have another one you would sell? I'm also interested in the outside mount swing away spare tire carrier.

Re: 70 Jimmy 2wd conversion

I'm near Temple, Texas.

I will be back there in 2 weeks and get more pictures of the cab and running gear.

Yes, I will work with you to get it to California.
The floors were rusted out when we got it, but have been replaced.
There is an old thread on it in the Blazer section.

Re: 70 Jimmy 2wd conversion

This seems like a good deal for someone. Mine is not in that condition and I would not sell it for that.

Re: 70 Jimmy 2wd conversion

I'll take this pending more pix of a few areas including SPID and clean title. I can pay deposit to formalize things. Have contact with a shipper to get this to Ohio. Would buy w/o engine/trans at $2,500.

Please PM me for details and next steps if I'm up. I'm happy to talk through details over the phone if that helps.

Thanks.
