Hello everyone,

I recently freed up some money paying off my truck and ready to start progress on my apache. So I am wondering what do you all think is the best IFS kit to go with for a bagged truck. As well as shops you would recommend for the installation in central texas. I would do it myself but i dont have the tools or space to do it. Money isnt unlimited but I'm not on a super tight budget either. Any help you guys can give will be appreciated. Thank you

installing an ifs isn't as easy as installing just the ifs
steering column and master cylinder need to be updated at the same time
the project snowball from there with newer columns and all the upgrades available on them
and hung pedals or underfloor pedals/brake boooster

bagging usually involves the rear suspension and changing the rearend
and upgrades to the electrical system to handle the compressor and valves
by this time you have replaced all the suspension and half the electrical

paying a shop to do all this would be in the absurd price range, aka why most of us do our own work
if you're bound and determine to have a shop do it, you might want to look at a complete rolling chassis
a turn key bagged rolling chassis may cost upwards of $20k or more but it may save you money in the end

for that $$ you can rent space, buy tools and do the install yourself

Agreed, You have many options if your tools are limited. Many people have used other chassis and swapped the cab over, and many have welded on the needed IFS to the front.

Can I ask why the suspension swap? Are you just wanting it lowered? Are you looking for disc Breaks? What kind of shape is the truck in? I would love IFS, due to the space and money I am waiting and running the solid axle.

Yes, it is me. I'm almost heading home from the desert so I will hopefully be able to start my project soon. I guess i should have clarified. I would just go to the shop for the suspension parts to be installed. Steering and brakes can wait as the project is still in the very early stages. Not for the whole project to be completed. If it will be 20k for just that then yes i will look at other options lol.

Valid question, but i want to do the swap because i like the look of a truck resting on the ground. However I dont want to be that low at all times because some of the road around here are awful. Disk brakes and all the other benefits that come with an IFS would just be icing on the cake. The truck itself is in good shape. Uncut frame, minimal surface rust in the corners and on the frame.
