'67 C10 at Summit

Went to Summit Racing brick and mortar store yesterday. They had a C10 on display inside that was lookin' pretty sharp on a rotary display stand. It was sporting lots of trick parts as expected and I think it was sporting a StreetSide key chain or other signage so it's likely up for sale. Didn't snap a picture though.

Another C10 was in there too, the Holley themed one...

Re: '67 C10 at Summit

I saw that truck last Wednesday at Summit also. That yellow was not my favorite color by far but it sure was worthy to be in their showroom display. I wonder how people get to display their ride at Summit, do they have an application process?.... or is it like so many other things, it's all in who you know? On a side note, what did you think of the whole process of the sales counters in one area, then they ask you to go to the cashier line, and finally to the parts pulling area? Each one had a line of at least 20-25 minutes just to get helped. Honestly I think I'll take advantage of the free shipping instead of 2-3 hours just to pick up an oil pan. Its a cool place for sure but sheesh, you better plan for half a day.

Re: '67 C10 at Summit

I was offered a chance once to put my 72 El Camino SS on the rotating display inside thru our car club but declined as it had to be there for 30 days and I would not turn it loose that long .

Re: '67 C10 at Summit

30 days is too long methinks.

I've not used the parts counter yet. What I do is order online, checkout and pay clicking on pickup in store. Then just show up and go to the cashier line and let them know I'm there to pickup.

When I was there Monday around 4pm the place was dead.

Weekends are busy. I go during the week and have had a much better experience.

Re: '67 C10 at Summit

I agree with Jay. It is nice to see a car build show where the crew isn't yelling at each other and throwing tools and storming out of the shop like several other shows do. WAY too much drama on those shows. I watch for the builds, not attitudes and drama. Drama is for daytime soaps and those "housewives" shows. Period.
