cruise control servo from 87 vette - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have an 86 K10 with an 87 L98. I have the cruise servo but cannot find anyone who can help me get it installed. I will have to make a custom mounting bracket but that will be the easy part. There are 5 wires and two vacuum lines, one large one small. The painless wiring harness doesnt have anything in it to help me. Chevrolet gave me dirty looks and many other forums have ignored me. Can anyone help or know someone that can. Thanks

Let's see. It's been so long after removing all my cruise stuff.

The small vacuum hose hooks to the intake. The big vacuum hose goes to the brake pedal switch that will cut off the vacuum when the brakes are applied. The wires go to the the controller module and brake pedal switch.

Here is a scan I just did from a 87 wiring manual I have. I'm thinking everything is the same as the year you have. It's plenty big so you can read it. If using IE, just view it full size.

Well hey thanks for all the help. More than I have gotten anywhere else. Hopefully I can figure it all out. Im not a whiz with electricity unless its at the end of a TIG torch. Ill let you know how it works out. Take care.

what wiring harness are you using? Are you usint the 'vette harness, or an aftermarket one? IIRC, the cruise ervo was mounted to the firewall, and had a 5 pin plug on it. There was a long cable going fronm the throttle body to the servo.
