A La Carte Opton Ordering
I've seen some posts over the years with members asking about options and how these trucks could be ordered. I ran across the pictured one on EBay and thought now here is a truck that really shows you could order a truck anyway you want it. The truck is a 1970 base Custom long box fleetside truck. As you can see factory A/C is an option along with gauge package and the 350 engine and Power Steering but no Power Brakes but someone has added the Power Brakes as well as replaced the seat cover or whole seat. The full P01 Wheel Covers were added but are gone now as well as a Heavy Duty Rear Spring. I notice too no exterior color shown on spid.

Re: A La Carte Opton Ordering
I think that 6t7 C10 has the most a la carte SPID I've ever seen. It has arm rests as an option, for example. If some sort of deluxe interior were ordered (CST, maybe?) a bunch of those things would be included. I suspect that the order had to be made such that it didn't look like something deluxe, but it has a lot of options nonetheless. Post #19-

Re: A La Carte Opton Ordering
Did you notice that the SPID calls out green trim, but all the interior pieces-dash pad, steering wheel/column, seat, door panels & armrests are brown?
I think it would actually be neat to have a truck optioned out the way this one is. A/C and 3 on the tree sounds fun!

Re: A La Carte Opton Ordering
It's not a Custom. In 67-70 those were mid-level and this one is base (C/10). Looks like the interior was replaced with Saddle pieces including a CST cover, which is the only off the shelf OEM reproduction. It's neat to see trucks ordered with what they wanted as well as didn't get what they didn't want.
