Behold my digital rear window, sequential tail lights, third brake light, etc...
I was tinkering around and built and programmed this out of a gross of WS2812B individually addressable RGB LEDs and an Atmel 328P chip. I can post the code if anyone wants it.
Anyway, it does sequential signals, brake strobe, police effect (not legal on the street for me!) and backup lights. So you have to tap into your dash harness but I'd like to do it "cut free" with a trailer light adapter. Here's the video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTI8gfHwL6k I assume with this version of vBulletin I cannot embed a Youtube video right in this post, correct?

That’s pretty slick. Looks like you could be the next custom lighting guy.
I’m a tech at the police garage and there’s so much LED stuff out there. I’ve been using boards out of damaged light bars to make some things, but I don’t have the programming skills so it’s pretty basic.

Well, if you have any surplus 12V super-bright strobe LEDs that I could tinker with, I'd love that!
What I'd really like is something akin to what I see on the fire trucks here. The brakes pulse, like my example, but they -add- a bright strobe, not drop out to black.

Honestly I don't care for digital stuff or LED stuff on our trucks. I like the timeless look they have. That being said ... These lights are pretty darn cool, you did a really great job!
