Glass
Thinking of installing all new glass in my truck when it comes back from the paint shop. It seems as though I have seen a package deal on glass before, but can't seem to find it. Anyone know of any place that prices it in a bundle?

Re: Glass
PGW (pittsburgh glass works) is located in Ann Arbor , You could drive down and pick it up to save on Shipping / damage / returns . I maybe able to order it for you at Wholesale or slightly above prices ? I'll have to check .

Re: Glass
A suggestion...if the paint shop has not shot your final color(s), and you are going to change the glass, have them remove the glass so they don't have to tape it off.
Sometimes the new rubber does not match up to where the old rubber was. I just reread your post...that is assuming you did not remove it previously. |

Re: Glass
AMD does. I would suggest finding a local auto glass place for at least the windshield. By time you pay shipping you could probably have one installed cheaper. I just went through this.

Re: Glass
Thanks for the replies. All the glass is to except the windshield, I would have had it out except I felt it is a little to big to handle by myself. Ann Arbor is about 40 miles down the the road from here, might be well worth the drive and the glass may be cut to better standards. I should also check with someone to install the windshield. It's just a C/10 so it doesn't have the stainless trim. I don't know if it's just me, but new tinted glass just looks so nice.

Re: Glass
Here is an example ..........Drive to Summit and pick up a windshield and install myself. Cost $145.00 plus gas. Local installer came to my place and installed $175.00. I provided the gasket. This was for green tint.

Re: Glass
Agreed. The point I was trying to make is shipping on a windshield will be close to as much as the cost of the windshield. The rest of the glass is available through many places and the shipping is reasonable.
