Re: Chrome grille
It could be done-you’d want to start with a clean NEW grill however. I have been experimenting with Alsa system spray chrome-and I was skeptical as hell at first until I played with the chemicals a bit on some “practice” parts...I’ll be doing some actual parts in the near future-I’ve got paint/body experience so its not so much of a stretch.

Re: Chrome grille
There is a shop locally that uses Spectra product, it was going to be $400 to paint my grille, that was a couple years ago so not sure what it would be today. The parts that I’ve seen look pretty good.
gmachinz it will be interesting to see how you like the actual parts you paint, I’m assuming you’ll be painting some grilles? |

Re: Chrome grille
I plan to. It isnt an actual paint-its a chemical reaction which leaves a silvering layer which then gets clearcoated. It is pretty amazing stuff but as with anything, the prep is key and there are a few things I’ve discovered while practicing on some smalls.
