Andys 68 c10
I have been wanting a 68-72 Chevy truck for a very long time, but never had the funds, or the garage, or something to start with.. so about 4 months ago a friend of mine was in a hard place and needed cash, so I bought a 72 lwb partial truck for 100 bucks.. (blue truck)..
So after doing some digging and disassembly I found that the cab was to far gone for my comfort, kept the doors, fenders, cowl and the hood, o and the posi unit!! So I set out to find a better cab. Which in turn led me to this 68 GMC cab, still needs work but not as much (so I thought!!) It has rust, but in different areas then the blue one, and seems to be a easier fix. So the white cab is what I'm starting with. The floors and supports need minimal work, the worst part I have found after taken it all apart is the inner cowl, and upper part of the firewall both are rotted, (I'm in the north east!!).. so that's gonna be my first plan of attack.. |

Re: Andys 68 c10
So enough about the cab.. as I said the 72 was a lwb truck.. not my favorite so I decided right off that I was gonna shorten the chassis useing the no limit kit.. well low and behold a fellow enthusiast I sold a few parts to told me about a craigslist add.. a 68 Chevy swb chassis.. so I waited till he sent me the link, I went and looked and immediately sent the guy a text!!! Was very excited at this point!! After a few days of talking and many pics being sent with the po, we agreed on a day that I'd come down to grab the chassis.. after a 6hr ride it was at my house!!! (Saved 1300 bucks!!) Apon tearing into this chassis I found it had 3.73 gears, which was a plus.. so I committed and started stripping it of everything it new..

Re: Andys 68 c10
I have had a lot of thoughts on the finals of the project.. motor, trans, paint, interior, suspension, and so on and it seems like I'm always changing plans.. obviously I'm far away from any of that.. all I do know is that just about every part is gonna be new!!! Thanks for looking..

Re: Andys 68 c10
So a little update friday... I had a few things follow me home today, first was a 2000 1500 that has a good 5.3 in it, and it was dirt cheap!!! So back to a previous post, i made up my mind on a motor... and i also had a original fleetside short bed jump on the trailer as well.. in pretty decent shape!!! Super excited for the days events!!!

So a little update on the beginning of this thing.. I ordered most of the sheetmetal(floor pan, firewall, inner cowl, rockers and cab corners) for the cab, and after waiting for the ups guy 4 days past scheafule delivery date parts finally showed.. all in pretty decent shape, here is a few pics.
