WTB seat bottom springs

Having my seat recovered & found out several bottom springs were broken & rewelded. Would like to find some replacements. Any one with a seat or willing to remove the springs please let me know.

Thanks
Scott

Re: WTB seat bottom springs

Are you talking about the long repeating "s" that runs front to back? Or the actual spring that holds you up? Sorry I don't know a better way to describe.

Re: WTB seat bottom springs

Attached is a pic of the springs, looks like they run front to back. Looks like the welding took the temper out of them, so best to replace them now.

From the looks of it I need around 7. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Scott

Re: WTB seat bottom springs

Hey Scott, I just got to the seat this mourning and it does not look like yours, this was out of an original 66 k20. Let me know what you want to do, if you don't want it I am going to scrap it.Name: 1534679604244443289036.jpg

Re: WTB seat bottom springs

I have springs and new spring clips for installing also you can add these reinforcement panels to add support , the side springs can be replicated using regular z springs when bent correctly

https://www.albrightssupply.com/Zig-...4-p/sp2024.htm

https://www.albrightssupply.com/Flex...8-p/flex18.htm

the flexolator panel you would need 60" to go across the seat bottom ,You attach them on top of the seat springs use burlap between the stock springs and flexolator then seat padding

Re: WTB seat bottom springs

Grumpy old man, do you have a set of the straight seat bottom springs that you're offering up?

If ScottH is passing on them I would be interested in talking with you about what you have.

Thanks.

Re: WTB seat bottom springs

I'm also looking for a couple of those springs for my 65. I have 3 that are broken off where the coil connects to the frame. Any tips would be awesome.
