Has anybody painted the dash bezel? Pics?

I believe I’ve decided to go with a white dash in my blazer. Just wondering if anyone has painted the black section of their dash bezel to match their dash.

Not sure why I even pose it as a question. I know everything has been tried. But I’d love to see some pics! Post them up!

Re: Has anybody painted the dash bezel? Pics?

i don't see it being hard to paint the center of the bezel at all. I would get a red scotch pad and scuff the heck out of it, blow it off, make sure all the dust is off with cheese cloth or a slightly damp rag. let it dry, mask and spray.
a lot of GMC bezels are colored ive noticed

Re: Has anybody painted the dash bezel? Pics?

Oh yeah, I’m sure it’s easy to do. I’m just looking for folks who’ve done it to give me an idea of what it would look like. I did some digging this afternoon and found a beautiful example of what I had in mind. Jason of New Creations in Shelby, NC built a sweet c10 for a customer. Love the interior! Wish I had the cash to just take mine to him to finish! Soooo clean

EDIT: sent him a link to this thread on Instagram to get permission to use his photos.

Re: Has anybody painted the dash bezel? Pics?

The factory has ways to make it easy, but painting a bezel while leaving the bezel areas chrome with the proper lip is what's hard. I have done it on quite a few. It is doable but can be tedious.

Re: Has anybody painted the dash bezel? Pics?

Taping off the chrome or painting 2 tone like I did is a pain! Fine line tape helps, takes a good bit of time. 7 holes very tedious.

Re: Has anybody painted the dash bezel? Pics?

I just found one that I had saved a long time ago. Ironically, the picture was posted in MY Blazer build thread. A post I made back in 2012. When Livrat finished his Blazer I fell in love with his interior. So, here is another one...
