The wheel is a corvette wheel from the late 60's-early 70's. I have two of them on trucks. You can use the hub and horn parts from a camaro for assembly. They also make a repop of the wheel --see LMC etc..
the only wheel I like better is one I recently found at a swap meet made by Nardi from Italy. check out e-bay and you will all fall in love with the Nardi wheel. Thicker then the corvette at the circle and highly polished three spokes. You might try "BILL" on the board. I know he has the corvette wheels in red, black, wood grain, etc. for sale. Good luck |

the muscle factory was the cheapest I had found them. $169 complete when I got mine, but they are now up to $199 complete. Get the 67-68 kit as the adapter is slightly smaller than the 69 kit. This will let it be the same OD as the top of the steering column.

Class of 69 wasn't smokin anything, the computer between the ears doesn't work sometimes, the wheels I've seen in LMC look similiar, but I don't think they are the same. In LMC there foam or woodgrain. I had one of those wheels in the pic in a chevelle one time, they are like a hard plastic, and how do you think he got a blue wheel, do you guys think he painted it?

I bought mine from board member Smitty, I see them all the time at auto swap meets for under $200
I've never seen a blue one, I think he painted it to match. |

That was a curious observation I had that it matched the interior color so well. Paint would make sense. I was hoping someone would post a link of them available in all the stock colors. Oh well, wish in one hand, and sh......
casey...I understand completely about the computer between the ears!! I have repeated hard drive crashes too!!

Thats wheel probably came out of a buick skyhawk (not sure on the year, but around 1980) Thats the only place I have ever seen one in that color. The corvette ones are usually black or red, but they came in different colors that were used in other cars.

Camaro Wheel
Here is a pic of the wheel in my '69 Camaro convertible. Not a very good pic but it looks like the wheel in question. Just found them in a catalog from D&R Classic. You can get the whole kit...horn button and all for $229.00. part number F00328.
You can reach them at 800-472-6952. They also offer them in walnut and rosewood. One of these days I'm going to finish that Camaro. It a cool car. RS/SS convertible with just about every available option including factory A/C. That the only Camaro Convertible I've seen with factory A/C. If anyone else has please let me know. I just don't have the motivation or time to work on the car right now.
