C30 Chrome wheels?

I thought I had seen full wheel covering chrome caps for the 16inch dually wheels. I looked them up online ... are these the ones called wheel simulators?

Its so hard to tell in the pictures how they actually look. Are they a good alternative to spending big money for true chrome dually wheels. Or are they really fake looking?

Re: C30 Chrome wheels?

They are 100% acceptable looking. They have a very adequate appearance. Am I coming across clearly? They are just alright. I don't think they look bad at all. It's a big truck thing and it makes sense when it comes to moving tires around the truck. The Budd wheels are made to work in any position and you give that up with 'one side looks great' wheels,

I love the chrome budds. I've bought both for trucks I've had. It's been since late-80s that I've bought chrome wheels and that was when the Alcoas were coming on for 1Ts. Once those came around it seems the chromies went away. I had a set of old ones I put on the red wrecker I had, but the chrome on one rear wheel as gone. I tried to find just one and never did. I think I have seen two trucks on the internet since with old chrome budds.

These are simulators

Re: C30 Chrome wheels?

They do look real nice in pictures, and if you say they look good in real life Im definitely going to take your word for it LocDock. Im making room for my C30 at home and its going to need tires and something done with the wheels. They are argent right now and I was thinking of painting them white, but saw a lot of these with chrome wheels or simulators and thought they looked great in pic.

Can you tell me what size tires you are running too? They look like a perfect size.

Tim what are budds? Is that what they call the dually wheels?

Re: C30 Chrome wheels?

I have these that are chrome steel with stainless caps.Fixing to get simulators as the chrome is about gone.

These are the ones to find. One piece snap on.Others out there are held on with screws and the center ring goes under the lugs.Don't get this type!
I have these on my little G-30 motorhome too.It had some cheap looking aluminum simulators when we bought it.They were garbage too!
