front end alignment v1500 suburban

I have a 88 gmc v1500 sub and am having problems with front axel. does any one have the specs for this trucks alignment? I have limited funds as I am retired and only have ss coming in so any help appr.

Camber can not easily adjusted so I would leave it if you are on a budget (especially if it is even side to side).

Toe should be slightly in at the front, so like 1/8".

I would recommend as much caster as you can manage. We used to crank the caster up to 10 or 12 degrees through the use of tapered shims, which really helps with the straight ahead stability.

This is, of course, assuming everything else is in good shape (like ball joints and stuff).

Hey Keith - do you happen to know the stock caster on the 4x4s? I have thought about putting shims in to increase caster but not sure which degree ones to get.

6*-8* range is the common preferred spec in the offroad world for these old solid axles .

as said camber is NOT easy to play with . and most of the time not worth it . its a bent ball joint or bad ball joint or bent housing .
