Steering column off set?
I just picked up an 87 GMC Sierra Classic. The steering column is off set and slight pointing to the drivers door. It feels super awkward. Is there a fix for this or???

Re: Steering column off set?
You 'may' be able to help it by loosening the toe plate at the floor and the upper column nuts under the dash and trying to shift the column. As it gets straight it will move right a little, more of an issue if you have bucket seats.
Some amount of this is normal, apparently 5 drgrees is 'un-noticeable' to customers although I too feel it. Beyond that you would have to slot the toe plate and check the shaft for clearance and the shift lnkage for binding.

Re: Steering column off set?
Is it the whole steering column that is off, or just the steering wheel? Can you post a pic of it?
