I found the only picture of the truck that made me love these trucks!

First of all,I want to apologize for the condition of the picture.I was about 14 years old when it was taken and I am almost 60.This is the truck that my Dad bought when we moved to Texas. A '68 CST with a 396,chrome reverse wheels and bucket seats.I remember riding with my dad every where he went. The truck was only a few years old and I thought it was the coolest truck ever! We took it to the lumber yard and bought materials to build the barn that still stands on my mothers place.Brought home Dad's new riding lawn mower he got from Sears back in '75. He took me to K-Mart to buy the latest model kit. I learned to drive in that truck. Also learned to do a power slide in it when Dad let me take it out by my self! He sold it to buy a newer truck in '77 and I never got over it. My truck has less trim and a small block. Mine is a C-20 where his was a C-10 but I still get the same thrill driving mine!Unlike Dad, I will never trade mine off! My Dad has been gone now for 7 years but I can still almost picture him in my truck some times. Thanks Dad for the memories!

That is a great memory & cool picture!
I could just make out the crossed flags on the fender...those are a neat period custom detail. Did your Dad put those on?

I think they were there when he bought it but he did add the wheels, and camper shell. Thanks for all the nice comments.I have read great stories on here about how other members found their truck or memories of riding in their grandfathers truck so I thought I would share my memories.

Quite common for people to sell off their trucks at the 10 year mark back then for all the latest and greatest advancement and creature comforts.
