Different color paint inside the cab than outside?
Anyone have different color paint inside their cab than outside? I feel like I may have seen one or two here on the board. Maybe a cab that has a white top where someone brought the white inside the cab, but the main outside body color was blue or something? Or all one color outside and a contrasting color inside?

My 67 GMC 3500 is navy blue on the outside, orange on the inside, and gray behind the gas tank and under the dash pad!

Re: Different color paint inside the cab than outside?
Is this like this because its a truck put together from many parts, or is this something you set out to do? If its something you did on purpose please post some pics. If its something because its a truck put together from many parts (like most of mine Ha!) that's obviously not what I was looking for =)

Re: Different color paint inside the cab than outside?
Up through '67 all trucks were painted different inside the cab. The only '67s with matching interior paint would be like a red on red or blue on blue. My '67 was going to be red oxide with red interior including paint. Now I'm going with black interior and not sure on interior paint. One day it will get overall paint. The pant will be in another direction due to black vs red and I may paint that inside to match later.
I've seen black with red paint/int, which is a look you know. The '67 factory thing was pretty cool with say like the ole standard light green paint you got light metallic green interior paint that went well with the seat and such.

Re: Different color paint inside the cab than outside?
I have a '67 K/10 Suburban with a white exterior and 'Fawn' interior. Fawn was a mix of silver/gold.
On my '68 Stepside, the interior/exterior were painted 516 Orange, but some trim items -- steering column and wheel, door panels and edges of instrument panel. Seat, sunvisors, belts, dashpad were a matching silver/grey vinyl. Both trucks came out of Fremont.

Re: Different color paint inside the cab than outside?
Are you saying the metal was painted fawn, or the upholstery was fawn?

Re: Different color paint inside the cab than outside?
Both. The metal was Fawn, the vinyl and nylon were a close silver/grey.

That's a really cool look! 68OS do you have pics of the Burb?
CC59 is the roof of your truck white? Could you post up pic that shows more of your truck? |

Sub is laying fallow. I do not plan to rebuild a BBC 454 with gas above $2.50/gal and 6 City/8 Highway MPG. Maybe a diesel conversion, a turbo 292 lump-ported L6, or a 383. Needs a lot of work. It has salvage title now.
