Wireing harness ?
Will i have to swap out my wireing harness if i switch from a idiot light dash to a full gauge dash?

Yes or you may be able to re-wire. I think GMCPauls sight has an FAQ on this to help ya

I just did a complete re-wire with a kit from Painless. They make a kit that is specific to 67-72 Chevy Trucks. It was very easy to install and it felt good getting rid of 35 year old wiring.
