77 k10 brake question
Working on changing out my front rotors and calipers, but im having an issue with the rotor assembly.
If I am correct I have to punch out the wheel studs for the 2 pieces to separate, right? And what about all the gears, etc for the 4wd that are in the hub housing, do they just fall out or stay on the axel shaft? Also what grease is supposed to be in the axel housing? Thank you all for your responses, its greatly appreciated. |

Re: 77 k10 brake question
Yes, drive out the studs to replace rotor.
Full time 4wd (NP203) remove the snap ring, remove the drive slug (gear) behind it you will see a lock nut, lock washer, nut. remove these to remove the hub. (for the hub to slide off, you have to remove the caliper too) |

Re: 77 k10 brake question
Got the hub off and all the way down to the axel. Thanks for the info on the removal.
Now waiting on parts and I can put the passenger side together and start on the drivers side. |
