Crusin the Mississippi Gulf Coast
Cruisin The Coast 2018 was Great. Event was from Sept 30th through today Oct 7th with 8200+ registered vintage cars and trucks. Non-registered vehicles add to that number. Below sampling of pictures taken in about 30 minutes at one cruise venue (there were 6 different) locations. If you ever have a chance to go, do it.

Re: Crusin the Mississippi Gulf Coast
Had a great time again this year. Unfortunately, my fuel pump went out in that very same parking lot! We still had a blast though. Thanks for sharing and hope to see more pickups next year..

Re: Crusin the Mississippi Gulf Coast
Is it just me....or is it that almost every single classic truck....now lowered, short and with oversized modern wheels?
I've now seen a few event and show'n shine pics....and the trucks all appear that way, and to be quite honest....are starting to all look like they were done by the same shop and the same guy....all due respect. What would be interesting and unique is if someone at the show had a truck that even relatively stock....in height, paint and general appearance....noting that it seems there are a couple of there who are 'bucking the trend' from the 'LSLS' (lower shortened LS motor) group. ....good to see!! Great quality pics tho'! Coley

Re: Crusin the Mississippi Gulf Coast
Yes the vast majority are lower, etc. It was a great week for sure. I saw your truck several times Railroader, but never saw people around it. Maybe we'll get to meet next year.
Oh mine is not lowered. Could be older but short of a broke power steering belt, the old six just ticked away. Links have some of the pictures I took. Over 8 days I took close to 5000 pictures. Cruisin' the Coast 2018 Day 1 Crusin' the Coast, C/10 Meet

Re: Crusin the Mississippi Gulf Coast
Dang Bill. When did you have time to drive? It seems like just a few months ago we were talking about last year's cruise and it's done come and gone. I really really ought to go to at least one before I expire.

Re: Crusin the Mississippi Gulf Coast
Palf70step - hate we didn't get to meet. Would have been my pleasure. And yes more than not they are lowered, big engine and big tires. Mine is not. Standard height, 6 cylinder, tire size and shift on the column (didn't hang up once). However it is air conditioned and prettied up the way I like it. That's what makes it MY Truck. You have to appreciate the time, work and money put into these trucks. Now if it is only money and no work, I don't give that the same level of appreciation.
I am going to have to find out about the C10 event. Didn't know they had something like that. |

Re: Crusin the Mississippi Gulf Coast
I heard about the meet and greet at about 6 at a gas station. So I dashed down for the last little bit. It was a good week.
