1966 C-10 Shifter Boot Solved...
Installed a saginaw 4 speed in our '66 C-10. Needless to say where the shifter comes through the floor is not very flat . I had some carpet left over from the cab, so I made a box to the contour of the floor to mount the boot on. I'm happy - turned out pretty decent ......

What did you make the box out of wood or metal?

Re: 1966 C-10 Shifter Boot Solved...
Made it out of 3/4 inch oak plywood. I painted the inside of it black. Glued the carpet on with contact cement. I made one out of cardboard first to get a good idea of the shape. Used self tapping screws to attach it to the floor.
