power steering

Hi guys need help, am rebuilding my 61 c10. The project i am working on is installing power steering. My truck has 2 holes in firewall one for brake and one for clutch with brace for dash right in the middle of the 2 holes. Trying to figure out how to mount new brake booster truck converted to auto trans . Any help would be appreciated thanks Walter

Re: power steering

Thanks Captain Fab received power steering bracket today great workmanship.I purchased a 8 inch dual diaphragm with universal brake pedal said to fit a 61 from ccp. There is no way the brake pedal assembly will fit against firewall with dash brace do you or any one on the forum have any solutions .

Re: power steering

I'm confused. You started out asking about power steering, and then changed to asking about mounting a brake booster. I sold and shipped you a brake booster bracket for your truck. I don't know what this 'brace' is in between the 2 holes in the firewall. I have never seen such a thing on a '60-'62 truck. I'm thinking a previous owner may have installed it for some reason. Or are you referring to the pedal bracket on the inside of the cab?

Re: power steering

Sorry for the mistake I am installing power brakes and your part is what i need. What i am trying to do on the inside of the cab is fit a different brake pedal as I have removed the old pedal assembly. The brace i am talking about is the support from above the steering collum to the firewall, It restricts fitting a different pedal . Got a bad dose of the flue brain is not working.
