Bed cover help

Looking to buy a tonneau cover, 70 c-10 short bed.
Looking at the craftec hinged cover, only thing I don’t like about the Craftec is how the bow frame shows through the top. Also looking at the Extang revolution and the Tuxedo lopro QT.
Any opinions on these or others, pictures always help.
Priorities are fit, low profile looks, no drilling, cost is always a concern but not highest priority.

Thank you

Re: Bed cover help

I would stay away from the Tuxedo model as it uses velcro to seal the cover to the frame...

As you are in Colorado the cold weather etc could be an issue...

I have used Extang products on both my trucks...one is a Revolution model, the other is the bowed style BlackMax model...you just have to keep the snaps lubed with a wipe of silicon spray every now and then.

Re: Bed cover help

I have had the Lopro QT for about a year. Fits good and can be adjusted to tighten it up if it's ever needed. I like that the cover can be rolled to the front if I ever need to use the bed for something that wenT fit under it. It's reasonably water tight. I get a little bit of water between the cover seal and the front of the bed if I'm driving in a heavy rain. Overall I like it.

The Revolution looks very good, and the one I'm thinking of getting. I won't be using it for purpose, but rather the best looking cover. I don't want snaps or velcro, and I want it flat. This one looks sharp.

Re: Bed cover help

I use a truxedo on my ram, no problem with the velcro closures and like the roll up. Anybody come across one for a short box stepside, don't want to screw snaps to the bed.

That’s where I’m coming from and the same reasons I’ve decided on the Extang

I bought the Extang cover with the snaps and although it works ok I regret the snaps and likely will purchase another without in the future.

Re: Bed cover help

I have the snap type Extang cover and have had some issues with the snaps...
I find if I spray the snap button where it snaps over the stud section with silicon spray once a month the stuck snap issue is greatly reduced.

If you rip a snap stud out of the cover, you can replace the snaps and sockets easily with supplies from car cover companies...or in my case, I buy off of Amazon....

The snaps are all standard 1/2" boat cover style and come in chrome or black finish.
