For all of the camper lovers from SEMA
Got to meet the owner/builder of this beast. '71, 402, th400. (He started it up for me even though that is frowned upon!) VERY cool ride, the camper is built with all aluminum, you wouldnt believe the amount of work. Totally updated interior, wish i had gotten more pics, but I was busy B.S.ing and drooling. Got permission from the owner to post these here. Enjoy-

Nice!! Thanks for posting. I know this is on Instagram, but I'm not... When i was checking it out, it had a floor shifter, but not sure if it was auto or not. The shifter looked like it was for an sm465, but I'm no expert. Good catch!

Wow, that is cool! You could roll up to a campground in that and get all the attention!

Looks like it has three pedals.
Mirrors would help get you into your camp site a little easier. And the side pipes could make a long trip a bit uncomfortable on the ears. |

Re: For all of the camper lovers from SEMA
I sincerely wish i had gotten more pics. Everything had been updated, but retained a nostalgic feel with the colors, and patterns. Even the polished aluminum on the front and sides screamed classic, along with the white stripe that definitely isn't factory correct, but still honors the past. Of course, there are a lot of things that wouldnt make much sense as a camping vehicle in the real world, unless you only used it for tailgating, but the reality is this is a vehicle built for SEMA, which means it is a show vehicle, right along with every vehicle at the show. Almost all show vehicles are built for one purpose. To show. With this one, I am impressed. I'd LOVE to find me a period correct camper, update it inside and out, slide it in my Custom Camper and hit the road.

Re: For all of the camper lovers from SEMA
Yeah, it has a lot of cool touches. But definitely built to look at more than use as a camper. Any of this type of camper put back to nice condition would be the hit of the campground. My slide-in painted to match the truck was that way and that was when these were old but not quite historic status. I did it era-correct with wide aluminum slots (wider on rear) on a well optioned Cheyenne Custom Camper. I want to build a camper from square aluminum tube. It's hard to find the skin material wholesale. Coast to Coast and RV shops want crazy money for that.

Re: For all of the camper lovers from SEMA
You know the suspension was one thing we didn't talk about. I didnt find this until the end of the show Tuesday night, and we were leaving. Maybe someone that has Instagram and knows this truck can chime in?
