Brake Help
I have a 1969 GMC C2500 4 speed dana 60 rear, with that I have replaced the rear brakes shoes and springs. Two new rear self adjusters and one wheel cylinder. Bleed the brake where the wheel cylinder was replaced after installing , now when I try to drive it in the yard the brake light comes on and the brakes stop you but not before they almost hit the floor. I'm not loosing fluid I've checked over and over and nothing gone out of the master cylinder. What do I need to do to make this better?

It almost sounds like you let your master cylinder go dry while the system was opened up. It may help to bleed the master cylinder and go from there.

My master cylinder was never dry got low but I watched it was scared to let it go dry but ill bleed the whole system and see what that does if it don't, I'll move to the master cylinder.

Did you remove the innards of the cylinder you didn’t change out and clean the bore with emery cloth.
New shoes put the plunger cups in different spots in the bore that can ingest air with each movement of the brakes due to dirt or crud. |
