'98 s10 headlight switch
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the headlight switch trying to disable auto/day time running lights and run to a toggle switch. My new headlight melted because of the drl.

You didn't specify if it was a pickup or blazer, but I'll tell you an easy way to find out almost anything for your vehicle. Do a google search for GM si home and click on the link that starts with fbdylvr. I know that looks suspicious, but it I've used it many times and it works fine for me. It takes you to a website that is exactly like the GM service information that dealers use. It only goes to 2005 models though. It takes a little learning to find what you are looking for, but it is relatively easy to figure out.

To disable DRLs, one of the DRL relay terminals need bent/removed.
To disable the automatic headlights, a resistor needs installed in place of the light sensor in the dash. I will see if I can find a link. How do you know the DRLs caused damage to the switch? |
