will it fit?

i have a 80 silverado i'm switching to TBI. i have a 87 burb that has the comp. wiring, fuel lines, etc. i have to replace my gas tank and fuel lines due to age and impropper repairs. what i'm wanting to do is install the burban tank under my truck therefore eliminating having to buy new tank, sending unit, fuel pump, and straps. has anyone done this before? will it be an easy swap or a royal pain in the azz? any help is greatly apprecaited.

i dont think the engine would be that big of a deal as long as u knew what you were doin but youd prolly have to mod the frame to hold the tank

Someone will surely give a definite answer soon. I'm pretty sure the Suburban tank is larger than what will fit under a C10.

They've moved a Blazer tank to the inside of the frame. If I remember correctly, the Sub tank is located outside the frame like the C10 and won't fit inside the frame.

sub, if it is similar size to the blazer tanks, that is a popular mod. just have to build a crossmember to hold one end of the tank.. somebody on here had a webpage about it... capt??? maybe?

Ah, my bad then. Yeah, it's Chris who has the page, somewhere in www.captkaoscustoms.com
I've installed a Summit fuel cell between my frame rails, not a difficult project. Just measure what you've got, and figure on cutting a crossmember. Good luck with the conversion!

Just follow the instructions (direct link ) on this page http://www.captkaoscustoms.com/blazertank.html and you will be set. Of course running the fuel line will be a different story

EditBTW, Sub and Blazer tanks are the same....
