Timing an 86 pickup
Is there a wire that that advances the timing that needs to be un-plugged before timing an 86 305? If so would someone please tell me where it is? Thanks

Re: Timing an 86 pickup
Far as I know, you just disconnect and plug the vacuum advance at the carb, then reconnect after your timing is done.

Re: Timing an 86 pickup
Thanks Bill.
One more question please. Which pointer on the timing indicator is 4 degrees before TDC? I can't clean the indicator unless I remove the water. Does anyone have a picture of a clean timing indicator? Last edited by Nickelcharlie; 11-27-2018 at 12:58 PM. |

Re: Timing an 86 pickup
Each mark on the timing tab is 2 degrees.
There’s a pic in here of yours. http://garage.grumpysperformance.com...dicators.1015/ |
