New suspension for 70 2wd blazer
I’m going to order all new suspension for my 1970 blazer 2wd. I will be doing a disc brake conversion for the front as well. I was thinking of going coilovers but want everyone’s opinion. What kit is good? Recommend it over a standard drop kit?
Any suggestions? Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: New suspension for 70 2wd blazer
I don't have much experience with coil overs so I can't comment on that.
As far as hard suspension parts go, In my opinion the only option is ECE aka Early Classic Enterprises. The parts are top notch and the service is exemplary. Their shipping times are very quick as well. The only exception is the Modular spindles from CPP. They are a great option as they pull the rim back in towards the frame. But thats only really needed if you have wheels with the wrong offset or decide to go super low.

Agree with using ECE parts.

Re: New suspension for 70 2wd blazer
Muppet, are you going to stay 6-lug or go to 5-lug? I'd like disc in the front but I'm not sure I want to be locked into buying 6 lug front disc from one particular vendor instead of being able to source locally. Is there a 6 lug disc that can be used that is a standard part store part?
Thanks, Roger

I've been looking at Cpp upper and lower control arms and their 2.5" drop spindles.
