If you want I could ship that stuff via Fastenal, you coordinate and pay for the shipping.

$250 for transmission and crossmember.

Here is fastenals shipping quote link, its via email and real easy.

Re: Wtb: Th400 & cross member

3 questions:

1) Is the transmission in good working order?

2) ZIP code where the transmission is being picked up

3) Approx weight

Thanks

The trans has clean fluid and I have driven it around the block a few times, Its good used, goes right in gear and shifts fine.
I would estimate total weight with pallet at 250 pounds.
Zip code is 98409.

Re: Wtb: Th400 & cross member

So based on the dimensions I gave them (I have no idea what the actual dimensions are), they quoted me Fastenal store to Fastenal store price of $180. That seems pretty high for just a transmission, no?

Well, it could be wrong due to the dimensions. If you think it's going to be around $120, then I'll still go for it, as it's cheaper than one I could get around here.

Also, I don't need the cross member as I forgot I have one. Not sure if that drops the price some of the transmission.

Just let me know.

Thanks

I have no idea of how they come up with pricing, I did just ship 2 doors to iowa for 150. I don't know if they want it on a full size pallet for handling or not, it really would only take up half a pallet. I was basically throwing in the crossmember to make the deal. Its a bunch of work to get it on a pallet strapped down then take it to Fastenal. I loose at least 2 tie down straps strapping it down too.

Re: Wtb: Th400 & cross member

OK, $250 is fine. Whatever we can do to cut down on size would seemingly effect the price, so if you can do half pallet, that'll work. It should be cheaper to ship that transmission than 2 doors.

You don't happen to have a brake pedal assembly for a 70, do you? Need to replace the one with a clutch pedal.

Ok I think I have a pallet, if not I saw some the other day and will get one. I will get you dimensions in the morning and solid estimated weight tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the reminder...I got busy doing other things.

Went out and measured.
21" Width
34" Length
22" Height

Google says TH400 dry weights 125 pounds, so with fluid, pallet and strapping lets say 200 pounds. I think they are forgiving on weight.

I do have a pallet too.

So it dropped it $10. $170 for shipping. Let me know when it's ready to go as I a) need to pay you, and then b) I need to contact them via e-mail and then I guess they send me some info.
