power steering on 1968c10

I am trying to put power steering on my 1968 c10 but am having trouble finding the right pitman arm. I am trying to use the 68 drag link from manual steering. I got a reman power steering gear for a 1982 c10. I also ordered a moog k6131 pitman arm. it fits the drag link but it will only go on the steering box about 1/4 of the way. what am i doing wrong? any help appreciated.

The pitman arms do not go up on the splines of the sector gear very far
