Trim, Side Moldings, Emblems, Etc.
As someone who hasn't been up to speed on 67-72 trucks in years, I'm wondering what the consensus is on who makes the highest quality trim, moldings, emblems, etc. for these trucks? Or is there essentially only one source?

For side moldings (67-68) I used Mar-K and they look great. I still haven't installed them, but those who have really praised them.
Good luck, Rg

I just received new "custom" and "C20" emblems from Classic Industries for my C20 and the color, quality and fit is top notch.

I see Mar-K is made in the USA, which carries a lot of weight with me. Not sure about the Brothers product. |

I plan to go with Mar-K because of the positive comments and have heard they ship them like gold - so possible damage is probably not going to happen.

Re: Trim, Side Moldings, Emblems, Etc.
I recently tossed my mar-K box... I think it was a wood frame with a cardboard top/bottom and they used fat eggcrate foam top and bottom. Arrived with zero damage.
I've looked at trucks with Mar-K, factory, and "whatever else is out there" and Mar-K was by far the closest to factory and looked the best. I cut up a brand new set and made it fit my stepside.

I'd bet the that the Brothers stuff is made by Mar-K.
Jake, Mar-K is made in Oklahoma City, you might be able to make a pickup from them, not risk the shipping... I looked at Mar-K's website, they do no list their side moldings for a stepside |

My Mar-K 67-68 side mouldings were extremely nice and packaged very well. I can not compare these to anyone else's trim, but I bet if the price is simialar...it's likely mar-k product. I would make sure, however.

Re: Trim, Side Moldings, Emblems, Etc.
Because they don't make it for a stepside because GM never did. I had to use an extra cab corner piece and cut down the rear piece

Yes, I got Mar-K trim from Southern Kentucky. Yes, it was still in the Mar-K box. Yes, it cost less than buying direct from Mar-K (they won't discount to an individual to prevent undercutting their distributors)... I can't speak to LMC or Brothers, as I didn't source my trim there. However, you can ask when you are about to place your order if the trim is sourced from Mar-K or not. Then, depending on the answer, decide if you want to place your order. I saved a fair amount buying from Southern Kentucky over ordering direct from Mar-K, the trim was in Mar-K boxes, I showed up and they let me inspect the pieces before I took them home. Very pleased with the service on the trim from the guys at Southern Kentucky Classics... Best of luck! |

Mar-k for molding and Trim parts for emblems. Of course you are going to pay more but if you are looking for quality that is the best I have found on the market.
