12 bolt gear oil capacity?
1974 2wd C10 with 12 bolt open diff. Wondering what the capacity is. I've got it right out of the truck on jack stands and I figured it would be easier to point the cover end up and dump the oil in before I seal it up and reinstall in the truck.

Most I've done are around 2qts...you could dump quart and a half in,put the cover on and finish filling thru the fill hole

Im pretty sure mine took just shy of 2qts as well, from being completely empty, so that is a sound plan.
