Trailing arm bushing question

I removed my trailing arms had them sand blasted and hit them with 2k epoxy. After i put the epoxy on i was thinking i should not have installed the bushings with the epoxy in the shell? So....that's the question, should i remove the epoxy before inserting busing or just install it??

Re: Trailing arm bushing question

I would clean them up with some fine emery cloth and grease them good before installing them

Do i need to go down to bare metal or just smooth out the epoxy grease and install?
Thanks for your reply

Re: Trailing arm bushing question

well how thick in the epoxy? I am sure it will wear off over time , but if it is a rough surface you do not want it eating into your bushings, I would just take it back down to the factory set up (bare metal)
